Swedish massage is a whole-body therapeutic massage treatment that works the soft tissues and muscles to help restore health – creating a calming and balancing effect on the nervous system. Best known for soothing tight muscles and boosting well-being, Swedish massage also offers a whole host of other health benefits, including:
Through the manipulations of the body’s soft tissue and muscles with deep pressure, therapeutic massage relieves muscle aches and pains. Therapeutic massage can help with the following conditions:
Feel like you’re floating with a sweet and gentle Swedish massage! This is a full-body massage that uses light to medium pressure and is perfect for those who have high levels of stress. Aromatherapy is a wonderful add-on for this massage.
Reiki is a form of energy healing that can be done with or without touch. The Reiki massage is a great option for those who feel they need to break through energetic blockages and would like to receive a nurturing massage with very Light or Light pressure.
Sports massage is manual manipulation of the muscles geared specifically toward helping people who have physically demanding lifestyles and/or hobbies. This kind of therapeutic massage considers the impact of certain activities on specific joints, muscle groups, tendons, ligaments, and soft tissue groups.
Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue.
This massage is full-body or focused on specific target areas and uses medium to firm or extra firm pressure.

As the mother of a toddler, I know how important it is to receive nurturing touch before and after giving birth. I have found that each time I support my own needs, the health and well-being of my son is also enriched, because I am able to be more present and attentive to his needs. I also offer infant massage and somatic parenting classes for new moms and their partners.
This massage style is done in a specialized massage chair and without any disrobing. Chair massage is a great addition to help your employees feel valued, or your guests feel extra special. Whether you need a chair massage for your next bridal shower, corporate function, or birthday party, I am happy to accommodate you!
This is a wonderful manual therapy technique for those who are dealing with pain or radiating pain. Static pressure is applied to target areas of constriction to increase blood flow and decrease pain. The theragun add-on is great for this type of massage. Trigger point massage is often used in conjunction with deep-tissue, integrative, or myofascial massage.
This is a slow, gentle, and often effective manual therapy technique for those who experience chronic pain. Myofascial massage does not use any cream or oil and is often utilized prior to other massage styles.
Integrative Massage is for those who feel that they need a combination of massage techniques or are not quite sure what they need!
This massage class can be done solo or with you and a partner. I’ll go over basic safety protocols, positioning, and massage techniques to help you feel more comfortable with giving massages to your loved ones. 2 hours minimum.
This class covers trauma prevention for children, infant massage, and somatic tools for emotional regulation. A valuable investment for any new parent! 2 hours minimum.
My name is Solairah Playfair (NC Massage and Bodywork License #4473), and I am excited to be living in the beautiful mountains of Asheville once again after many years of traveling as a health care worker. I have over 21 years of experience assisting people to improve their health and well-being through my work as a physical therapist assistant, massage and bodywork therapist, and now specializing as a Somatic Practitioner for the last few years. For those who are new to Somatics, it means “relating to the body,” and covers many practices and tools related to body awareness, trauma-responsive care, and healing.
If you would like to receive Somatic services but are not able to make the investment to work with me on an individual basis, I offer Group Healing Classes to close friends/family, which greatly reduces my hourly rate for each person. Whether you are looking for a soothing massage therapy treatment, information on how to “Trauma Proof Your Kids,” Chair Massage for your next event, or guided Somatic exploration, I look forward to customizing Services to your Unique Needs.
All New Clients at Triveda Wellness will receive 20% off their first Three 1-hour Somatic Services with mention of this promotion! Also, I am offering 10% off All Massage Therapy Services for the entire month of November!
